Your photos always knock my socks off. I love peeking in over here.
so very sweet and lovely
pretty, oh pretty.do you have these in your yard? if so, i'm uber-jealous! i used to have them at me last two houses. i adore this sweet little flower.
Yes, they're actually growing on the side of the house. I discovered them while mowing the lawn a few weeks ago. And when I lived with my parents, our previous neighbor gave me a few lily plants which have multiplied into a large patch of lilies over the last 20 years. They smell heavenly when they're blooming, especially since a huge Korean lilac bush nearby (that I planted years ago as a wimpy stick) is always blooming at the same time. I wish you can bottle that smell!
I love lily of the valley-the name too and you have taken great photos of them here. It is hard to believe they are real flowers they are so perfect, white and waxy looking.
Oh these are my moms favorite. She even has a perfume from this scent. Hmmm...memories all come back floating in my mind....Thanks for letting me drift off like this. You've made great pics again.
ohmyLORd these are so lovely!!!
when i was a child a neighbour gave me a bottle of lily of the valley perfume. The sight & smell always brings me back to that time, and to that neighbour, who was like a grandmother. Thank-you for reminding me of her. Its funny you should post this, because yesterday I noticed some wildflowers next to my garden and I wondered could that really be lily of the valley?
Thanks, everyone! But I'm surprised no one caught my subtle reference to The Who.... :)
So beautifully demonstrating the depth of field!! Awsome flowers and lovely pictures!
love love love...
